Hinduja Global Solution Ltd. acquires Careline Services
Hinduja Group’s outsourcing arm Hinduja Global Solution Ltd. (HGSL), a USD 193m enterprise, has taken over Careline services, a UK based customer relationship Management Company. This has increased the reach of Hinduja group into the much sought after European market. This acquisition is the part of HGSL’s expansion strategy. The acquisition of Careline in the UK is the first of its kind from HGSL, who is more than willing to expand its wing across the Europe in coming years. The collaboration with Careline would be beneficial to HGSL, who presently has 80 clients, as the latter gets the well established Europe’s client base of the former’s.
What’s in it for HGSL
This acquisition will do wonders for HGSL as it gives them an immense opportunity to foray into the UK and the European markets. UK, being the cynosure of the European market, gives the organization an advantage in terms of client base. This acquisition will give HGSL an opportunity to cross-sell its much popular GDM (Global delivery model) to the already existent large European client base of Careline services. HGSL after this acquisition would be having presence in 29 delivery centers across the globe including India, Canada, US, Mauritius, Philippines and now UK. This acquisition sees the fulfillment of customers’ expectations as HGSL see the enhancement in its ability of delivering services to different parts of the globe.
What’s in it for Carline
Careline services had vision of its expansion across the UK. However, the limiting factor was their lack of expertise in managing the size and scale of their operations. The company found a perfect match in the form of Hinduja Global Solution Ltd., who holds expertise in delivering its well known services across different geographical locations, feels Careline Services Co-Founder and Managing Director Charles Cooper-Driver.
Acquisition also holds a lot of significance even for the acquired company as it sees the beginning of a next phase of its growth story. It will enable Careline Services to act as a strategic business partner to its clients, who will be increased manifolds after this deal. MD feels that HGSL, who is both financially sound and technologically advanced and has expertise in delivering services across different geographical boundaries, will be a perfect fit for Careline. The latter in addendum with the former will be able to give sophisticated solutions to its client base across the Europe including UK.
This recent acquisition further stamps to the fact that the Indian BPO industry, which is set to grow at 15-16% this fiscal, is bullish about the European market as it accounts for 30% of IT industry’s revenue. Since 2005, Indian outsourcing industry has seen 34 outbound transaction of USD 1.9b. This trend looks to gain momentum in the near future as western companies are looking for exactly what Indian companies are best in class - delivering quality solution across geographical boundaries.
