British Council India has announced its Young Creative Entrepreneurs Awards for the year 2010. The initiative selects young creative industry entrepreneurs in the country and provides them a global launch platform in the UK. It syncs in with British Council’s international young creative entrepreneurs programme that celebrates talent from all around the world.
“The Indian economy has immense potential for growth by investing in creative enterprises. This award programme aims to raise awareness about creative entrepreneurship in India and goes beyond simply recognising their achievements. It provides them the international exposure, learning and platform to begin a dialogue with their UK counterparts leading up to collaborative initiatives and gaining a strong foothold in the UK creative industries”, says Rwituja Mookherjee, head of creative economy programme, British Council India.
The Awards recognise the following sectors: Design, Music, Fashion, Communication, Visual Arts, Interactive Performing Arts and Publishing.
